Apple boosts profit by 15 percent
The U.S. computer manufacturer Apple announced its earnings in the fiscal second quarter by two percent over the previous year and thus exceeded analysts’ expectations.
In the past the end of March quarter profit rose to 1.21 billion U.S. dollars (0.93 billion euros), as Apple on Wednesday announced in Cupertino, California. Revenue rose to the information, according to nine percent over the same period last year to 8.16 billion U.S. dollars.
Sales of iPhones the company has reported more than doubled and rose to 3.79 million units. Apple has indicated that it has even more iPods sold, however, the sales of Macintosh computers back.
