TrailRunner is an application for sports. For example, running, cycling or trekking. With TrailRunner it is easy to plot routes. About iTrail
The idea behind iTrail is that you should be able to use your phone to track your performance whilst you are out doing physical things, running, cycling, hiking or skiing. Using iTrail you can record the trail you follow, and then plot it on a map. You can record how fast, how far and how high you went and then plot them on a graph. You store many trails and compare you performance between them.

iTrail is an application that uses the on-board location-aware facilities on your iPhone or iPhone 3G. iTrail works best on the iPhone 3G as this has a proper built in GPS chip, which can record your location frequently and extremely acurately. Whilst iTrail works on the first generation iPhone, the information it will give will be necessarily inaccurate, this is because it determines location based on the location of the cell tower you are nearest, and these are widely seperated. iTrail will not work on an iPod touch however as this has no location aware facilities.

iTrail allows you to access your location and performance data through three separate channels :

NEW - TrailRunner - Mac OS X route planning and training software for GPS devices
iTrail Desktop
Google Docs

iTrail is currently available in English, Japanese and French. Very soon it will be available in Danish and German
iTrail 1.6 is available on iTunes.

After much feedback, theymade the following changes :

Review: This program is what allowed me to create this website. Its Affordable ($ 2.99). Not just for runners; Works for cyclists, walkers, skate boarders, rollerbladers. No need for any additional hardware, special shoes, or accessories. No need for any additional hardware, special shoes, or accessories.Clear, easy to read display (even in direct sunlight).
It was my goal to provide a site with GPS locations and data of various mountain / road bike trails. Until the Google Ad revenue can afford me a Garmin 705 GPS unit, this iPhone app will have to do. Having tried a handful of apps for the iPhone, iTrail by Justin Davis is the most accurate I have seen. The program has a easiest exporting options I have seen. But this is really little complicated-time consuming- whereever the editor gives us hopes to a better solu_n in 1.7 version . Might have trouble getting clear GPS signal in urban or wooded areas. Can not run other iPhone apps - like Pandora - at same time (via Apple’s guidelines). Obviously does not work on Treadmills or elliptical machines. Like all iPhone applications iTrail cannot run in the background. That means that if you cannot see it on the screen it is not recording your work-out data. This means that other applications can interupt the iTrail’s function, such as choosing music tracks or receiving a phone call. Always restart iTrail when an interuption occurs. Choose the trail that was active and the press the continue button on its details screen.
