The new iPod U2 Special Edition (updated)

Apple today launched a new iPod U2 Special Edition iPod based on the fifth generation 30 GB (up to 7,500 songs, 25,000 photos or over 75 hours of video), with a black design with the control wheel red Click Wheel, including the back in black stainless steel and the signatures of the band members recorded. Buyers of the new U2 iPod customers will also receive 30 minutes of exclusive U2 video downloadable from the iTunes Music Store. The new U2 iPod will be available soon through the Apple Store for 349 euros (VAT included).

More on Apple’s web site, which today has been quick to take existing Spanish version of this page.

Regarding the video, Apple extended information: The video can be downloaded only from countries where it is available from the iTunes Music Store. The certificate is sent with the iPod. The video can not be purchased separately.

A curious fact, Apple has created a page with black background and white lettering that has not lost elegance and readability. By the way … an iPod Nano U2 version would have been a nice novelty.
