iPod shuffle: First tests reveal weaknesses
The new iPod shuffle: A radical departure from the previous design, a new beginning in the operation. A device that is not anywhere on opposite love triggers, a mini-musicians, the polarized. No wonder that reviews of test buyers fail mixed - two good examples of extensive investigations offer Apple Insider and ArsTechnica, the small music player through the hurdles of everyday life-course flushed.
Biggest problem: The included earphones, its use because of its control buttons is mandatory. “There will be those who know me, shocked, but I am now the whole day with an iPod gejoggt and I had third-party earphones use”, reports a pikierter Jacqui Cheng of Ars: The Apple-supplied copies jumped because of the shocks of running every few meters from his ears. “The iPod shuffle could probably be the perfect device for runners and for that very reason; it is very annoying that one of the included earphones depends.”
Even Aiden Malley Apple Insider is not satisfied, in addition to the earphones bothers him especially the new voice: “Voiceover is clumsily implemented.” The fact that the Apple gods before reading the play lists of the name and artist of current track set, costing only wasteful of time: “Most users will know what songs they have on their iPod.” Similarly, the music transfer is too slow: “The iPod with 3 GB of music charge lasted painfully long 14 minutes.” Reason was slower flash memory, in order to save costs.
Overall, therefore reaps Apple with the new generation no thunderous applause: “A small device just to make does not make it better,” says Malley and awards to the Mini-musician 3 of 5 points. Similarly, when the verdict falls Cheng said: “If you’re [not very small MP3 player needed] or the idea of life after Apple’s proprietary earphones them, you dislike, there is no reason why a [iPod shuffle] to buy.” Harsh words for a device that is radically different than all previous. A device level, the polarized.
