Implementation of CNN for iPhone
This is the last application recently launched by CNN for iPhone, which combines the personalization of breaking news, store news, stream when any news is in progress and, more intrigue, doing “citizen journalism“.
IPhone App CNN is divided into four key components, combined to make the experience the best:
Headlines: The most important news of any application is able to read the news. We can sort by latest or by category (police, politics, health, etc.), and since this is CNN we also share our favorite news Connect via Facebook, Twitter, SMS and email. A visual detail: if you put the phone horizontally, we can look for images to find the news that will grab our attention more.
MyCNN: This is the part of the application more customizable, for example, can save our favorite news to read later (ideal for those who read too much and we need to prioritize), and not even need to connect to read what we maintain. Another example is to be able to follow any particular theme or story that interests us, and receive alerts when there are updates on this story.
Video: Being CNN was obvious that we would meet with some video, so we can see the most-visited clips related to the latest news. It also includes integration for live streaming video (really interesting at this point), and whenever something important happens, the live coverage on CNN is enabled.
report: this is referred to the “citizen journalism” content usually rises on CNN citizens who send pictures or videos with stories and events happening in their cities, and some in fact are used in covering the news then they live . Interestingly, the application allows us to upload videos directly from iPhone to CNN, encouraging this type of method.
Obviously many of the most interesting work in USA, but is an application that opens multiple doors on what you can do in future (and that can be implemented in different places for different channels). It is available for download on iTunes for about U.S. $ 1.99
