The endless story of the giant iPhones
Apple already tinkers in six years on a new, multi touch enabled computer. Apparently Steve Jobs does not even know what any good hybrid between notebooks and smartphone will.
When will the Apple Tablet? For months, rumors are circulating on Internet forums that the company is introducing a new computer soon, its touch screen 5 - to 6 - times as large as that of the Apple phones.
The New York Times now reports that Apple is working since 2003 on such hardware. Company founder Steve Jobs had rejected this device, however, because it has consumed too much power and too little given away graphically. And like the Tablet looks six years later? As the online magazine claims to have been “iLounge” in experience is the Tablet next year with a 10.7 inch wide display with the iPhone operating system OS on the market.
The doubts of the Chief
But why should the IT giant to build a hybrid between any notebook and smartphone? That is not entirely clear - according to U.S. media reports, is the years of fiddling tablet due to the fact that Apple founder Steve Jobs, the raison d’etre of such a device was questioned again and again.
The new hardware should allow the functions of the existing touchscreen devices from Apple beyond reading books, magazines and newspapers, and thus would be media player, game console, information and communication, electronic book in one. Well, only if the giant iPhone on the market come to be seen whether successful jobs with the Tablet, a similar roll as with Apple’s handsets. Official information on the new device will follow in January.
